Assessing Indosat's Direction after Leaving Satellite Business

Summary

PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) has decided to sell its assets and abandon the satellite business. Indosat left the satellite business because it was considered unprofitable. Indosat Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer Natasha Nababan said that the company had already sold its satellite orbit slot at 113th meridian east.

"In the future, the company will no longer own and operate satellites. In the past, the company had three, now only one is left. It's no longer efficient and cannot provide competitive prices for satellite services," Natasha said in a virtual public expose on Tuesday ( 1/12).
