Will Govt’ Reopen Lobster Larvae Export?

Summary

The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan will allow the lobster larvae export, which is currently suspended following the arrest of Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Luhut, who currently serves as the acting minister, will allow the export after the evaluation is completed.

The spokesperson for the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Jodi Mahardi, said the lobster larvae export policy is still under evaluation. "Mr. Luhut said, if it's good, keep go on, don't be afraid if you’re right," he said, Monday (11/30). Jodi said Luhut believes that lobster larvae exports must go on if it is beneficial for the community. "We have to distinguish between wrong policies and wrong or misleading implementation," he said.
