Job Creation Law which legalized by the House of Representatives (DPR) on October 5, 2020, will cut a number of regulations that hampered the business sector. One of which is rules about regional tax and fee. Job Creation Law will amend Law No. 28/2009 on Regional Tax and Fee (PDRD).

In Chapter VI-A of the Job Creation Law on National Fiscal Policy related to tax and fee says, the government can intervene regional authority for ease of investment, as well as to push the growth of the business sector with high competitiveness. The government claimed that the regulation has given protection and fair arrangement for business players.
