SKK Migas Speeds Up Procurement process to Meet 2021 Target

Summary

The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas) is speeding up the procurement process of goods and services on a priority scale related to the oil and gas sector. Hopefully, it could maintain the oil and gas production and lifting targets in 2021. The head of SKK Migas, Dwi Soetjipto, said that the procurement was also to optimize the Work Program and Budget (WP&B) and focus the attention on the next year’s activities that may support national oil and gas production and lifting.

To support the 2021 program, SKK Migas issued a circular to speed up the procurement process of goods and services at the end of September. The letter also demanded oil and gas contractors to immediately submit a procurement list, especially to prepare next year’s activities related to oil and gas production and lifting targets. “The joint commitment between SKK Migas’ management and the leaders of oil and gas contractors must happen as soon as possible by speeding up the procurement process for goods and services, and finish the preparation process in the remainder of 2020,” Dwi revealed in a written statement on Monday (5/10).
