Pertagas Tests Siak Pusako Gas Pipeline

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) conducted an initial trial run on the gas distribution pipeline for PT Bumi Siak Pusako - Pertamina Hulu joint-consortium (BOB). The subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) tested the pipe network once the construction is completed. It took place not long after PT PHE Jambi Merang and Pertagas submitted the gas nominations to PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI) as per the gas transportation agreement between Pertagas and TGI.

Pertagas’ corporate secretary, Fitri Erika, in a written statement issued on Monday (8/24), mentioned that the construction of the gas distribution pipeline would play an essential role in increasing gas supply for the joint-consortium’s power plant. “We hope that it can fix the gas supply deficit and energy security problems in Riau,” he said. The gas pipeline can supply PT Bumi Siak Pusako - Pertamina Hulu joint-consortium (BOB) up to 6.5 MMscfd.
