PEP Completes SKG-19 Gas Compressor Project Ahead of Schedule

Summary

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) has completed the Musi SKG-19 Gas Compressor Project in the Asset 2 Pendopo Field area, which went on stream since Thursday (8/13). The project is one of the phases in Musi Field development, which installs a low-pressure compressor to optimize gas production from wells in the Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra-based field. PEP President Director Eko Agus Sardjono said the completion of the Musi SKG-19 Gas Compressor Project is 15 days faster than the target.

Deputy for Operations of the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas), Julius Wiratno said the project is crucial to maintain gas supplies for industrial players in Sumatra and West Java. "The SKG-19 Compressor Project has been on stream so that we can maintain 150 million cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas supply to the industry," he said in a written statement.
