Benny Tjokro’s Companies on the Brink of Bankruptcies
Founded by Benny Tjokrosaputro, PT Armidian Karyatama (ARMY), is currently under the status of debt postponement petition (PKPU), registered with the case number of 180/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2020/PN Niaga, Central Jakarta, and submitted by three applicants on July 2, 2020.
The applicants’ attorney, David Haryanto, said that it started when 18 of his clients purchased Medium Term Notes (MTN) certificates in August 2019. However, the company failed to deliver the yields promised, leading to the PKPU reports. The total owed money reached to more than Rp 40 billion.
The first creditor meeting has occurred on August 6, 2020. Meanwhile, according to the schedule, the meeting to match accounts receivable and the deadline for tax debt verification will take place on August 27, 2020. On September 4, 2020, the Management Team will hold another creditor meeting with an agenda to discuss the settlement plan. Then, on September 9, 2020, a trial will occur as a panel of judges attends the settlement meeting.
