How Will the Government Act to Improve Spending in the 2nd Semester?
The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto targets to disburse the remaining state expenditure allocation, which exceeds Rp 1,000 trillion in the next five months. The acceleration seeks to recover the economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The actual state expenditure in the first half of 2020 reached Rp1,068.9 trillion, the Ministry of Finance shows. The figure is equivalent to 39 percent of total state expenditure in the latest state budget (APBN) revision set at Rp 2,739.2 trillion.
In the first Semester, the central government had spent the most expenditure, consisting of ministry/agency (K/L) and non-K/L expenditures totaling Rp 668.5 trillion, followed by transfers to regions and village funds (TKDD) which reached Rp 400.4 trillion.
