Recalculating Village Cash Transfer

The Rural Development and Transmigration (PDTT) Ministry recalculated the number of Cash Transfer (BLT) recipients from Village Funds. The minister, Abdul Halim Iskandar, revealed that the total recipients went down from 12.3 million Beneficiary Families (KPM) to only 8 million KPM.

According to Halim, the initial KPM figure came from the initial estimation and simulation, referring to the minimum limit calculation of the Village Fund allocation available for BLT at Rp 800 million, Rp 1.2 billion, and above Rp 1.2 billion. However, in reality, the number of verified recipients is far below the assumption, allowing the government to reduce the BLT budget from the Village Funds.
