Premier Oil Delays Drilling in Tuna Block
Premier Oil delays the drilling of exploration wells in the Tuna Block. The British oil and gas company made this decision due to the drop in world oil prices and the COVID-19 pandemic. The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas) said that Premier Oil previously planned to drill two exploration wells in the Tuna Block this year. "Seeing the results of monitoring, it looks like it will be delayed. It has been recalculated," SKK Migas Deputy of Operations Julius Wiratno told katadata.co.id.
Premier Oil Chief Executive Tony Durrant, in the company's Trading and Operations update, wrote that Premier Oil had delayed the drilling of the Tuna Block, which he called a highly prospective exploration area. "We proactively manage businesses in these challenging times, and remain focused on the welfare, health, and safety of our employees," he said.
