BP AKR May Develop Mini SPBU for Downstream Business Expansion

Summary

PT Aneka Petroindo Raya (APR), a joint venture between PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) and BP Global Investments Ltd, continues to expand its business to pursue the target of operating 350 BP AKR public fueling stations (SPBUs) in Indonesia within ten years. APR Brand and Communications Manager Syahran Wahab said that the company is currently only able to operate 15 BP AKR public fueling stations in the Greater Jakarta and Surabaya areas. In January and March, Aneka Petroindo Raya opened public fueling stations in South Tangerang and Tangerang.

APR is also considering to work on mini SPBU business to reach a broader market segment to the countryside. "We are open to all possibilities in the future, including to expand the reach of the AKR BP public fueling stations in the frontier, outermost and remote (3T) regions in Indonesia," Syahran said on Thursday (5/14).
