Andi Taufan Garuda Putra Resigns from Jokowi’s Staff Amid Controversy
Andi Taufan Garuda Putra, resigned from his position as one of the president's "Millennial" staff members, days after Adamas Belva Syah Devara, CEO of Ruangguru, announced his resignation. In an open letter released on Friday (4/24), Andi stated that he had already sent his resignation letter to President Joko Widodo on April 17, 2020. Jokowi had also accepted the decision of the CEO of PT Amartha Mikro Fintek to develop his company outside of the government.
Andi explained that his desire to serve the community through the economy was behind his decision to leave. "Especially serving people running micro and small businesses," Andi revealed as quoted by Katadata.co.id. He said that he learned a great deal and also apologized to the public for the mistakes he made while serving as the president's staff member.
