SKK Migas Urges More Efficient Operations in Kepodang Field

Summary

The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas) urges to restart the Kepodang Field at Blok Muriah operations more efficiently as the agency found a mismatch between the estimated reserves taken and the actual realization of cumulative production figures as well as operational, technical parameters, such as temperature and pressure.

"Although the existing reserve data has been certified, the actual conditions are different. This is a normal situation in the oil and gas industry," said SKK Migas Deputy of Operations Julius Wiratno in a written statement, Monday (3/23). The Kepodang Field re-operation requires anticipatory and corrective measures so that the operation costs could go as low as possible.
