Masela Block Development Carries On Despite Covid-19 Pandemic

Amid the oil price crash following the fast-spreading coronavirus (Covid-19), Inpex Corporation continues to develop the Masela Block’s Abadi Field. Inpex Masela Ltd Corporate Communication Manager Moch N. Kurniawan said it had anticipated the impact of falling oil prices and the Covid-19 pandemic. The preparation process for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) has been running uninterrupted.

"We have taken any necessary measures to keep the FEED core work running as it should," Iwan told Katadata.co.id, Tuesday (3/24). Inpex Masela has reported the adjustment measures to the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas). On the other hand, the Japan-based company continues to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the Masela Block operating area as the upstream oil and gas project requires a lot of imported equipment.
