Singapore Gas Allocation Diverted to West Java

Summary

The gas allocation to Singapore will be shifted to fulfill demands in West Java after the contract expires in 2023, according to the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas). The gas will be channeled through the South Sumatra-West Java (SSWJ) transmission pipeline.

SKK Migas’ Gas Pipeline Monetization Senior Manager Syarif Maulana Chaniago said the gas is currently being supplied to Singapore from the Corridor Block and the Jabung Block. The gas will first be channeled through the Grissik-Duri-Dumai pipeline and then connected to the rest of Sumatra.
