BPMA to Operate Rantau and Peureulak

Pertamina EP is ready to comply with the regulation set by the government to hand its oil fields in Aceh over to Aceh Upstream Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA). At the moment, Pertamina EP oversees the operations of two oil fields in Aceh, one of them is the Rantau field, and the other one is the Peureulak field, run under a joint operation scheme (KSO).

The president-director of Pertamina EP, Nanang Abdul Manaf, admitted to katadata.co.id, that he was unsure of the technicalities of the handover to BPMA. He revealed that he got the memo about it on Wednesday (2/19).
