Government Will Open 14 Sectors for Foreign Investment
The government will soon release a positive investment list for foreign investors. The Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia said the formulation of the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) on the list is almost complete, so the Perpres will likely be issued this March.
The regulation is a revision of Presidential Regulation No. 44 /2016. There are 20 sectors included in the negative investment list (DNI). As for the Perpres issued this year, only six sectors will remain negative. Bahlil provides leaks, fields that cannot be entered by foreign investors will be limited to national interest sectors, such as casinos, nuclear, and small and medium businesses (SMEs).
