The government has submitted the bill on the creation or assignment of a particular state-owned enterprise to oversee the oil and gas upstream sector to the House of Representatives.

The bill, contained in the omnibus bill on job creation, will be useful to skip problematical bureaucracy hampering investments. The draft of the law will enforce private companies in the oil and gas upstream sector to directly sign the production sharing contract with the designated state-owned enterprise.
