Coronavirus Outbreak, How Low Can Government Bonds Go?

Summary

Foreign ownership in Government Securities (SBN) reached US$ 78.3 billion or Rp 1.071,38 trillion as of Monday (3/2), based on data from the Finance Ministry's Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR). On January 24, foreign ownership hit a record high of US$ 79.8 billion or Rp 1.092,02 trillion.

In other words, foreign ownership has decreased by US$ 1.5 billion (Rp 20.64 trillion) in the past week. If calculated on a year to date basis, however, foreign ownership in government securities has edged up by Rp 9.44 trillion.
