Three Reasons Make Fitch Assigns Negative Label on Banking Sector

Fitch Ratings, one of the world's ratings agencies, gave a negative label on the outlook of the Indonesian banking sector. As quoted by CNBC Indonesia, the negative rating was revealed in "Fitch Ratings 2020 Outlook: Global Banks Compendium," released on January 13, 2020.

In the 2020 outlook, Fitch reviewed the banking sector performance in nine developing countries, including Indonesia. The banking sector in Indonesia is one of the six whose outlook has been labeled negatively by Fitch.
