Rudiantara and PLN's Revamping Targets

President Joko Widodo appointed Rudiantara as PT PLN president director, according to Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Pandjaitan, considering that the former Minister of Communications and Information has much experienced. "I think the president's decision is very appropriate, and PLN will be better," Luhut said on Monday, December 9, 2019.

Rudiantara once served as Deputy President Director of PLN in 2008-2009, accompanying Dahlan Iskan. At that time, the Padjadjaran University’s Statistics Department graduate was involved in the planning and funding of the 10,000-megawatt power plant project, one of the President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono flagship programs at that time. He then worked in manufacturing and telecommunications SOEs, before becoming a minister in Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla cabinet.
