Summary

The Indonesian government is gearing up to launch the National Public Service Portal, aiming to consolidate various services for the public. Abdullah Azwar Anas, the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister, claimed to have secured support from the Finance Ministry to procure a payment system within the National Public Service Portal. "This support will streamline our efforts in facilitating public ease concerning payments," he stated on Jan 4.

Anas outlined three primary focal points for this portal: digital identity, data exchange, and digital payment. Alongside the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry, other entities involved include the Finance Ministry, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), and the National Development Planning Ministry. Through this portal, the public will be able to make payments for taxes, People's Housing Savings, and various other services. "The medium-term goal is integrated services, meaningful accessibility, and user-friendly technology," Anas said.
