Sirclo, an Indonesia-based e-commerce enabler, announced the acquisition of Warung Pintar. Warung Pintar will be part of the Sirclo Group in providing a comprehensive omnichannel solution for principals, brands, distributors, business players to final consumers.

This acquisition places Brian Marshal as CEO of Sirclo Group, while Agung Bezharie (co-founder and CEO of Warung Pintar) will lead Sirclo's new business unit of new retail services. In addition, Danang Cahyono (COO of Sirclo) will head the company's enterprise solutions unit, and Ferry Tenka (CEO of Orami) will oversee the entrepreneur solution unit.

Sirclo Group CEO Brian Marshal revealed in an official statement on Wednesday (1/26) that, since the company had been operating in the business-to-business (B2B) model for more than eight years, his side realized that "the retail ecosystem is closely related to stalls and grocery stores as Indonesian people's options in meeting their daily needs."
