Indocement Invests Rp 1 Trillion for Alternative Fuel

Summary

Indonesia's second-largest cement producer PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk allocated up to Rp 1 trillion in investments for the next five years to finance the use of alternative fuels in the green cement production process. "We have a target to use 25 percent alternative fuels by 2025," Indocement President Director Christian Kartawijaya said in a written statement Sunday.

As of the third quarter of this year, Indocement already used 12 percent of alternative fuels for coal substitution. However, he did not explain in more detail about the said alternative fuel. "In the future, Indocement will continue to increase investment for alternative fuel use," he said.
