PT Bank Central Asia Tbk’s (BCA) ambition to compete in the digital bank sector finally comes to fruition. The bank recently rebranded its subsidiary, PT Bank Royal Indonesia, to Bank Digital BCA and would be the first digital bank in Indonesia.

BCA’s finance director, Vera Eva Liem, revealed that the new name had received the approval of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). She also said that the bank’s soft opening would take place in the second half of this year.
