Apple and Microsoft CEOs Ask to Meet Jokowi: What's It About?
Tim Cook, Apple Inc's CEO, and Satya Nadella, Microsoft's CEO, are slated to meet with President Joko Widodo in Jakarta. According to Nezar Patria, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology, the dynamic duo is set to arrive in Indonesia in April. "They've penned a missive to engage with the nation's leadership," Nezar disclosed this news on Mar. 22.
Nezar elaborated that Cook and Nadella's sojourn in Indonesia is propelled by a keen interest in investing in human resources and manufacturing. The Indonesian government warmly embraces the impending visit of these tech titans and stands ready to accommodate their investment blueprints. "Should they express investment interest, we extend our arms wide open, bolstering our national prowess," Nezar affirmed. He hoped collaboration among Apple, Microsoft, and Indonesia would yield dividends, notably enhancing the digital talent pool.
