Govt Forms Monitoring Team on Resolutions of Human Rights Violations

President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo appointed Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Ministry secretary Lieutenant General Teguh Pudjo Rumekso head of the Monitoring Team for Non-Judicial Settlements of Serious Human Rights Violations (PPHAM) through the Presidential Decree No. 4/2023 signed on March 15.

Jokowi appointed Coordinating Human Development and Culture Ministry secretary Andie Megantara and PPHAM Implementation Team head Makarim Wibisono as vice chairmen. Meanwhile, members of the monitoring team are echelon I officials from various ministries and members of the PPHAM Implementation Team.

The monitoring team is tasked to monitor, evaluate, and control the implementation of PPHAM. It also requires providing suggestions, considerations, and reports to the Monitoring Steering Team of PPHAM.
