Startup Layoff Season Isn't Over Yet
E-groceries startup Sayurbox laid off five percent of its employees. This is part of Sayurbox's efforts to become a financially independent company and grow sustainably. "This difficult decision is inevitable so that the company is more agile and able to maintain growth rates," Sayurbox Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Amanda Susanti said in a press statement on Wednesday.
Singapore-based job search platform Glints also laid off 18 percent or 198 of 1,100 employees, Tech in Asia reported, citing one source of the company. Glints co-founder Oswald Yeo said this policy was taken following market conditions and business priorities. Glints operate in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia.
