Indomobil to Sell Citroën Electric Cars in Indonesia
Indomobil Group has announced that it will market Citroën cars, including its electric vehicles, in Indonesia starting in 2023. Stellantis N.V., the parent company of Citron Automobiles, has appointed the group to introduce the C5 Aircross and electric car ë-C4 next year. Both parties signed the strategic partnership back on April 20, 2021. The agreement stipulates that PT Indomobil Wahana Trada, a subsidiary of the Indomobil Group, will handle the distribution and sale of Citroën vehicles in Indonesia.
"This appointment is an important milestone representing the strong partnership between the Stellantis Group and the Indomobil Group," Indomobil Group head of business development Andrew Nasuri said in Jakarta on Tuesday. He claimed that Citroën's decision to enter the Indonesian market shows that European car manufacturers highly rate the Indonesian automotive market. Citroën sales will be supported by a network of authorized dealers and service workshops from Indomobil. For the record, Citroën is a French car producer founded in 1919 by Andre Citroën.
