Jokowi to Discuss Economy, Investments during China Visit
President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo left for China on July 25 to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. China's visit is part of a state visit to three countries in East Asia. Afterward, Jokowi and his entourage will go to Japan and South Korea. Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi revealed that the primary agenda of these visits would be to strengthen economic collaborations, especially in the investment and trade sectors.
Jokowi is scheduled to meet Xi Jinping on July 26, visit Tokyo on July 27, and Seoul on July 28. He will meet Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. "In these bilateral meetings, President Jokowi will discuss the latest developments of several regional and international issues," Retno elaborated.
