Kevin Aluwi to Fill New Post as Commissioner of GOTO
Kevin Bryan Aluwi, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gojek, will strengthen the board of commissioners of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). Kevin will replace GOTO Commissioner Caesar Sengupta who resigned on June 3. The management will decide this after receiving the blessing of GOTO shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) which will take place on June 28.
After obtaining shareholder approval, Kevin's role and responsibility as CEO of Gojek will be held by Andre Soelistyo who also serves as CEO of GOTO. Andre will execute GOTO's on-demand business strategy. "After nearly a decade at the helm of Gojek, I feel that this is the right time to take on a more strategic role that does not directly intersect with daily operations," Kevin said in an official statement Monday.
In an official statement, GOTO management said that Kevin would focus on supporting the development of electric vehicles in Gojek as part of the company's commitment to zero emissions by 2030. Kevin will also be part of the Board of Commissioners of Electrum, a joint venture company between Gojek and TBS Energi Utama that focuses on building an integrated two-wheeled electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.
