Job Creation Law: Added Clauses

Reviewing documents
Summary

The House of Representatives (DPR) has ratified the revision of Law No. 12/2011 on the Drafting of Laws and Regulations (UU PPP). It will be the new legal basis for the enactment of Law No. 11/2020 on Job Creation, previously declared conditionally unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court (MK). The ratification was carried out at the 23rd plenary meeting of the House of Representatives in 2021-2022 on Tuesday.

House of Representatives speaker Puan Maharani announced the meeting was attended by 338 members: 56 of which were physically present, while the remaining 220 were virtually present. Meanwhile, about 62 DPR members were absent. "Thus, the forum quota has been reached," Puan highlighted. She mentioned that the revision was necessary because the law previously did not regulate the drafting of an omnibus law.
