Crypto Asset Trading in Indonesia: New Dawn
The Indonesian Trade Ministry’s Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) has issued a regulation on trading crypto assets in the physical market through the Bappebti Regulation No. 8/2021. The government demands crypto asset trading to be carried out with the principles of good corporate governance leading to transparent and fair prices.

Minister Jerry Sambuaga revealed that a crypto asset exchange would open at the end of 2021. Currently, the government keeps validating, verifying, and developing administrative and technical procedures to support its establishment. "We want the rules and regulations to be more systematic, integrated, and comprehensive through the crypto asset exchange," Jerry explained last Friday.
