IFC and Morgan Stanley Pump US$433 Mln to Alpha JWC

An Indonesia-based venture capital company, Alpha JWC Ventures, managed to raise US$433 million or around Rp 6.1 trillion (at an exchange rate of Rp 14,250 per US$) for the third stage of funding. The new funds were secured from various global and regional investors, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a subsidiary of the World Bank, and Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners.

After the third stage of funding, Alpha JWC Ventures' assets have reached US$630 million or around Rp 8.9 trillion. "Despite the ongoing pandemic, companies listed on Alpha JWC Ventures' portfolio have collectively raised more than US$1 billion in 2021," Chandra Tjan, Co-Founder and General Partner of Alpha JWC Ventures, revealed in a press release Tuesday.
