Summary

The reshuffle rumors of the Indonesia Onwards Cabinet have reemerged following the succession of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander. Arya Fernandes, the head of the Department of Politics and Social Change at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), said President Joko Widodo would likely incorporate former TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto into the cabinet. "After he retires, he will get special assignments from the president, either in the ministry or in other positions," Arya said on Sunday. Therefore, now is a good time to evaluate the cabinet's performance.

Meanwhile, a D-Insights source said that Hadi would assume the role of Presidential Chief of Staff, replacing Moeldoko. State Secretary Pratikno responded by assuring that there was no reshuffle plan in the near future or talks about Hadi Tjahjanto's new role. "Not yet," he said, Monday.
