Cermati Fintech Group (CFG) launched its Banking as a Service (BaaS) technology platform product through a strategic partnership with BCA Digital and e-commerce Blibli. This integration of banking services in e-commerce transactions is claimed to be the first in Indonesia, which was realized through the joint development of BCA Digital, Blibli, and CFG.

BCA Digital will perform all digital banking services through the Blu BCA Digital platform. Later, all Blibli users can access digital bank services, from opening accounts, transferring funds to making in-app payments and others using the convenience of the Blibli app without the need to download or switch to other apps.

The BaaS technology platform from Cermati enables online and offline ecosystems to embed banking services other than insurance services as service models in the ecosystem. Adding banking services to the ecosystem aims to reduce user friction and increase customer loyalty.

"With the Blu platform integrated into the Blibli platform, we are the first e-commerce to truly connect completely with a digital bank," Blibli CEO dan Co-Founder Kusumo Martanto wrote in a press release.
