New Pandemic Strategy: Vaccination at Home

The government is preparing a new strategy to speed up COVID-19 vaccinations. The Health Minister, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, said that the ministry (Kemenkes) advised doctors to provide at-home vaccination services. This program will start in the second semester or July-December 2021. "If possible, mobilize them all and, if necessary, inject people the vaccines at their homes," Budi said on Thursday (4/23).

Budi explained that the at-home vaccination program would start immediately after a third of the total COVID-19 vaccine commitments arrive in the second half of 2021. At that time, the number of vaccines will almost triple. "Imagine our busyness; the vaccination rate must be tripled. We will have to keep working hard until the end of the year; the rate must be even faster in July," he elaborated.
