PLN and Dewata Energy Bersih to Erect LNG Terminal in Bali

Summary

PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), through its subsidiary PT PLN Gas & Geothermal (PLN GG), and PT Dewata Energy Bersih (DEB), a region-owned enterprise of Bali Province, signed a memorandum of understanding on a feasibility study for the development of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal in Bali. The President Director of PLN, Zulkifli Zaini, said that it marked PLN's transformation and was in line with the energy and electricity policy of the Bali provincial administration to keep developing clean and environmentally friendly energy.

The feasibility study is the starting point for the Collaborative Development of the LNG Terminal and Regasification Infrastructure in Bali Province between PLN GG and DEB. PLN aims not only at the storage business but also the LNG terminal and regasification operations as well as their derivatives businesses. "The development of the Bali LNG Terminal aims to supply gas to the Pesanggaran Diesel and Gas-Fired Power Plant (PLTDG) in early 2023," Zulkifli confirmed on Wednesday (2/24).
