The Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) said that from a consumer protection perspective, the enactment of Article 15 Government Regulation (PP) No. 46/2021 on the Post, Telecommunications and Broadcasting might harm the personal data confidentiality.

"From the consumer protection perspective, this policy has may harm consumer protection, especially on the personal data confidentiality. I am afraid this will erode the personal data protection of over the top (OTT) service users," YLKI chief executive, Tulus Abadi, explained.
