President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the Indonesia Investment Authority Supervisory Board (Dewas LPI) will announce the LPI board of directors composition in the second week of February 2021. The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan stated that the LPI Board of Directors would be announced on February 15, 2021.

According to him, the board of directors had to be formed by the date as it LPI would promote with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), United Arab Emirates. "There are several large funds that will come in, so the organization must be well-prepared," said Luhut.

However, he refused to mention who would be the candidates for the LPI board of directors. "Let the supervisory board announce." Luhut ensured that LPI would become a magnet for investors and a solution to financing infrastructure projects besides the debt scheme.
