Latest Rumor: How the Candidates for LPI’s Board of Directors Stack Up

Bloomberg profiled five figures as the potential candidates for directors of the sovereign wealth fund agency that the government will create in 2021. Quoting from an anonymous source, Bloomberg stated that those five people are:

  1. Pandu Sjahrir, Partner of Indies Capital & Agaeti Venture Capital.
  2. Arief Budiman, former Pertamina Finance Director.
  3. Arsjad Rasjid, President Director of PT Indika Energy.
  4. Tigor Siahaan, Chief Executive Officer of Bank CIMB Niaga.
  5. Rizal Gozali, President Director of PT Credit Suisse Sekuritas Indonesia.

However, both the government and candidates remain silent on the rumor. According to the source of the report, the government will appoint either one or all five of them as the overseer of the LPI or the Indonesia Investment Authority.
