Who Has the Best Opportunity to Lead BPJS?

The government will soon choose new directors of the Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS) and the Workers’ Social Security Agency (BP Jamsostek). Having held the selection process since October 2020, the government has approved 16 candidates for directorial positions and 10 candidates for the supervisory board members of the Healthcare and Social Security Agency. "After going through a long and thorough process, the selection committee has finally submitted the results to the president," the State Secretary, Pratikno, revealed on Friday (1/8).

As for the BP Jamsostek, Pratikno ensured that his side had prepared 14 candidates as the future directors and 14 others as the supervisory board members, replacing current officials whose term would expire on February 19, 2021. "Of the 14 candidates, one will be selected by the president to become BP Jamsostek’s management," he said.

The candidates came from various elements, from government agencies to influential communities. As for the supervisory board, about ten candidates will come from outside of the government agencies. The president has submitted the name list to the House of Representatives (DPR) for the next selection process. Here are the names of the candidates:

Candidates for the Healthcare and Social Security Agency:

  1. Lily Kresnowati, the President Director of PT Cokro Cendekia Indonesia.
  2. Edwin Aristiawan, the Director of Wholesale and International Service of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia.
  3. Ali Ghufron Mukti, the Rector of Universitas Trisakti.
  4. Yulherina, the Director of PT Dukung Medika Selaras.
  5. Evi Afiatin, the Finance Director of the Workers and Social Security Agency.
  6. David Bangun, the Commissioner of PT Gihon Telekomunikasi Indonesia.
  7. Mahlil Ruby, the Consultant of the National Health Insurance.
  8. M. Yani, a civil servant (ASN) at the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN).
  9. Andi Afdal, the Deputy Director of the Healthcare and Social Security Agency’s Data and Information Management.
  10. Albertus Kurniadi, a civil servant at the Finance Ministry.
  11. Mundiharmo, the Director of Planning, Development and Risk Management of Healthcare and Social Security Agency.
  12. Arief Witjaksono Juwono Putro, the Deputy Director of Treasury and Investment of Healthcare and Social Security Agency.
  13. Ari Dwi Aryani, the Deputy Director of Healthcare and Social Security Agency’s Primary Health Insurance.
  14. Eddy Sulistijanto, the Deputy Director of Healthcare and Social Security Agency for the Riau Region, Riau Islands, West Sumatra, and Jambi.
  15. Fachrurrazi, the Deputy Director of Healthcare and Social Security Agency for West Java Region.
  16. Fadlul Imansyah, the Director of Sharia and Fix Income at PT Principal Asset Management.
