Summary

The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PAPTK) has frozen accounts of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) and its affiliated parties and prevents them from doing any financial transaction and activity. The PPATK spokesperson, Natsir Kongah, said that the suspension was a follow-up to the Joint Decree of Six Ministers and Heads of Agencies. The decree disbands the organization and bans all of its activities.

"Temporary suspending FPI and its affiliates from doing any financial transaction and activity are meant to analyze and examine if there is any money laundering indication or tie to other crimes," Natsir explained in a press release on Tuesday (1/5). PPATK, he continued, was tracing down the accounts and financial transactions of FPI and its affiliated parties. Financial service providers, including banks, will submit the letter of the temporary suspension to PPATK.
