KPK Officials Rotations, Does Police Domination Increase?

Summary

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) inaugurated 38 new officers, including deputy-level leaders and directors, on January 5, 2021. From the dozens of officials, six of them were active police generals. They are Brigadier General Didik Agung Wijanarko as Director of Coordination for Supervision I, Brigadier General Agung Yudha Wibowo as Director of Monitoring, and Brigadier General Bahtiar Ujang Purnama as Director of Coordination for Supervision III.

The other three officials are Brigadier General Kumbul Kuswijayanto Sudjadi as Director of Community Participation, Brigadier General Yudhiawan as Director for Supervision Coordination II, and Inspector General Karyoto as Deputy for Enforcement and Execution. KPK deputy chairman Nurul Ghufron said the new officials' inauguration is a part of the KPK leaders' agreement to implement a new structure. "We mutually agree on the structure of the position. The appointment of personnel also went through a transparent and accountable process," he said.
