How Much US Investment Potential to SWF Indonesia?

The CEO of the United States International Development Finance Corporation (IDFC), Adam Boehler, has signed a Letter of Interest (LOI) to invest US$2 billion into the Indonesia Investment Authority or Indonesia's Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF). Citing the official statement, the signing took place in Washington DC on Thursday (11/19).

The investment commitment is part of the visit of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B. Pandjaitan to the United States (US) last week. As part of its economic reforms, the Government of Indonesia continues to develop private sector financing and investment options for national strategic projects and other priorities. IDFC is one that is currently conducting a comprehensive evaluation of its investment in Indonesia. IDFC will also work with partners in Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore to invest in the Indonesia Investment Authority.
