Irtiza Sayyed: the New President of ExxonMobil Indonesia
ExxonMobil has appointed Irtiza Sayyed as the new President of ExxonMobil Indonesia. As of December 1, 2020, Irtiza Sayyed will replace Melanie Cook, who chose to retire early for family reasons. Irtiza Sayyed revealed that it was an honor for him to be appointed as the president and lead the company. He also planned to build on his predecessor's achievements, such as continuing the strategic partnership with the Indonesian government. "Including with business partners, customers, and the community in producing energy to stimulate economic growth in Indonesia," he explained in a written statement on Tuesday (11/17).
However, Melanie Cook's tenure is fairly short, only around three months. In August 2020, she replaced Louise McKenzie, who was appointed as the global reservoir engineering manager of ExxonMobil Upstream Integrated Service Company in Houston, Texas, United States. Prior to her appointment, Melanie Cook served as the senior production manager for ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia.
