Patimban Operator Auction Hampered by Rebuttal
Several participants in the pre-qualification auction for Patimban Seaport operator filed objections to the Ministry of Transportation's initial selection that only passed the Patimban Consortium led by CT Corp. One of those who filed an objection to the ministry was PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk. According to the Managing Director of Samudera Indonesia, Bani Maulana Mulia, the right to object is an option to clarify reasons for the appointment of the consortium.
Bani said that he had submitted a refutation letter to the State Property Procurement and Management Service committee (LPPBMN) of the Ministry of Transportation on October 21, 2020. "We have fulfilled all the requirements. Either the committee or us that missed something here, that is why we need clarification," he said.
PT Pelayaran Tempuran Emas Tbk or Temas did the same step. Temas' Director of Fleet, Japie Ernest Tasijam, said that he sent the objection letter on October 23, 2020. "We want to know what makes Temas failed," he said.
