Momentum for Hospital Acquisition Amid Pandemic

The issuer PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME), which manages the OMNI Hospitals network, plans to acquire all shares of PT Elang Medika Corpora (EMC) from PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK). Sarana Meditama will take over 1.25 million shares or equal to 99.99 percent of the issued and paid-up capital of EMC with a nominal value of Rp 1,000 per share.

"The purchase is Rp 1.25 trillion," explained the management of Sarana Meditama in information disclosure, Monday (10/19). To fund the acquisition, Sarana Meditama will increase its capital with Pre-emptive Rights (HMETD) or rights issue. The targeted fund from the rights issue is Rp 1.4 trillion. SAME will seek shareholder approval at the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting, which will be held on November 24, 2020.
