Is Patimban Port Ready to Operate?

The government will hold a soft launching of Patimban Port in the Subang Regency in early November 2020. West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said that the progress of the port's first phase development reached more than 90 percent. "Hopefully, this soft-launching plan can be carried out according to the target," he said on Friday (8/7).

Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said that Patimban Port would have supporting infrastructures such as toll road and special access road so that its surrounding residents will not use the same road as the commercial vehicles that go to the port. According to the West Java Transportation Agency Head Hery Antasari, the first phase development includes reclamation and access road. Therefore, he said, Patimban Port will be operational at the latest in 2022 to serve the loading and unloading of automotive products with a capacity of 250,000 units.
