BPH Migas Sets Toll Fees for Citarik Tegalgede-SEP Pipe, Grissik-Pusri

Summary

The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) determines the tariff for transporting natural gas via pipeline (toll fees) for two gas pipe sections, the Citarik Tegalgede – SEP and Grissik – Pusri segments. The agency set a US$ 0.185 per million standard cubics (MSCF) toll fee for Citarik-Tegalgede Extension Transmission (KP 40.06-Metering Gas Orifice Karawang) to PT SEP in Karawang, which is operated by PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas). This tariff has passed the public hearing and BPH Migas Committee meetings in May and June.

For the Grissik-Pusri gas pipeline, BPH Migas set a toll fee of US$ 1.027 per MSCF for November 29, 2018, until February 16, 2020. The tariff follows a dispute between Pertagas and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaya (Pusri) over the toll fee for the section. Previously, BPH Migas acted as a resolution body and mediated both parties, discussing on the issue and providing room for dispute settlement between Pertagas and Pusri by deliberation.

Head of BPH Migas M. Fanshurullah Asa said the agency is adhering to existing regulations in applying toll fees. "We must continue to show BPH Migas' consistency to make decisions by adhering valid and applied regulations," he said in a written statement, Thursday (8/6).
